Norm is the Founder and Director of Varanor International, a Management and Training Consulting firm based in Markham, Ontario.

Throughout his career, he has worked to "tap into lost and unused human creativity."

Since 2010, Norm has been working with his brother, Roland, to commercialize a safety-related invention that prevents serious injury: The Backbone™ for Reach Trucks and Standup Counterbalance Trucks. This product is now available to the market and enjoying healthy sales.

"We need entrepreneurial spirit now more than ever to revive our economy and get back to creating wealth. We can no longer rely on the large corporation to generate growth and employment the way they did in the past," Norm explains.

Entrepreneur-based companies can lead North America back to prosperity, if they get support, he states.

Married to Vilma for 28 years, Norm describes his wife as having "a remarkable ability to connect with people" which has proven infectious. Her optimism inspired Norm to write this book. Both are active volunteers within their community.

In addition to having launched ventures in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and forklift industries, Norm has worked in the automotive parts industry, general manufacturing, Health Care and the Defense and Aeronautics industries. He has worked with companies including Magna International and Honeywell International.

Norm holds a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Canada.
